Teachers encourage confident, competent and independent learners. A strong emphasis is placed on planning, evaluation and assessment in the curriculum ‘Te Whaariki’.

Children come from a wide spectrum of socially and culturally diverse backgrounds. Committee and community are valued and supportive.

The Education Review Office stated in their last review:
‘The teachers place a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy in the kindergarten programme. They provide children with a range of age appropriate activities and resources that stimulate their interest and understanding.
